Updates

I haven't posted a blog for some time as I got so busy with work and in the weekend I catch up to play with my kids. Hubby just recently bought me a blackberry storm which I enjoy so much as I am able to receive my emails anytime, anywhere as well as chat through ym and update my facebook and twitter. I can also browse the internet whenever I want to.

We also just finished my daughter's Christening and my son's birthday. Photos in my facebook account.

Today is a non working holiday so we had a long weekend. We went to Dubai Festival City yesterday and I am so happy with my purchases as it was on sale due to Dubai Summer Festival (DSF). I got an Esprit skinny jeans for AED 74 ($20), mango office skirt AED 49 ($13), mango Olive Oyl shirt AED 34 ($9), mango shorts AED 35 ($9) and my favorite find is a Sarah Jessica Parker Covet perfume for only AED 58 ( $15). It used to be AED 225 ($61) but it was on sale so I got it at a cheap price. When we went to Abu Dhabi a few weeks back I was also able to get a mango blazer for only AED 99 ($26), Mango slacks AED 49 (13) and a Mango Cardigan AED 35 ($9).

Our 2 hr. trip to dubai was really worth it after all our good finds. We just usually go there if it is on sale.

Movie time

Yesterday, we went to watch Transformers 2 at Al Ain Mall. It was Nichos' first time to enter a movie house and our first time here in UAE to watch on the big screen. When we entered the movie house, we were all alone so we had time to have our photos taken. Nichos' was very talkative saying that the screen is so big and asking where is the DVD player to put in the CD. Before the actual start time of the movie a few people came in but we were the only Filipino's. Nichos was so happy and he said we were not alone anymore. We enjoyed the movie and it was really worth it. One thing I notice though there is an intermission around half of the movie probably for people who want to go to the toilet and buy some snacks. It was somehting new to us as in the Philippines we do not have intermission during movies.

Happy Father's Day

To my daddy, Happy Father's day. We haven't seen each other for some time now but always remember in my heart I love you so much and I miss you. I am happy that we are able to get in touch via ym or skype. Take Care always. Your grandchildren would love to see you soon.

Loveydoods/ Tatay, Happy Father's Day. Thank you for being a great Tatay to Nichos and Nichole. They are so lucky to have you. We are working very hard to be able to provide them with the best and you are indeed a great provider. We love you so much.

At Last...

After 7 attempts to get a driving license, at last hubby passed the road test last Thursday. It is very hard to have no car here in the UAE as taxi's are difficult at times. It is not like in the Philippines wherein there are public transportation. Here in Al Ain, only taxis are available. Especially now that Nichole is here,having your own vehicle is very important. We are just waiting for our car loan and will be buying our first vehicle. We decided on a red color Nissan Xtrail 2009. It was hard to decide on what to buy, 2nd hand or brand new but since hubby does not know anything about cars we opted to go for the new one to avoid maintenance problems. I'm so excited for our new ride and am also planning to apply for a driver's license of my own one of these days if time permits as I am going back to work on 1st July.

Having a car here in UAE is a necessity not a luxury.

Happy 1 month Nichole

It was exactly one month ago that I gave birth to Nichole. Time surely flies so fast. Look at how big she has grown, Our princess is already 1 month old. We treasure every moment spent with her as babies grow up so quickly. Mama, Tatay and kuya Nichos is so happy to have you in our life. We love you Nichole.
